WHISPER MY NAME IN A PRAYER...
Do not weep because I left earth`s land,
Be glad of - & for - the life I had,
My strength and beauty restored - I 'live',
This is no dream, but a truth I give.
For you, my friend, who cared so much,
Right to the end, last gentle touch.
Briefly, as my eyes did still, all peace was mine,
In peace I saw green hills to climb,
They spread before me in this wondrous place,
Where children and angels did touch my face.
Bewilderment was brief - and so,
One is shown gently where to go.
Advancing forward, angels smile,
Distances not measured in miles,
A curious, wonderful freedom found,
Heavenly pastures where love abounds.
Friends read my thoughts and softly say,
I can return to you one day.
So whisper my name in prayers my friend,
And know that life has no real end,
For I shall hear, and lay with you,
In dreams I`m there, this much is true.
I know to trust the lessons here,
And visits are promised to those held dear.
You may never know just how frequently,
But be assured of my visits for eternity.
No tears to shed to make you sad,
But whisper my name in a prayer.
Give thanks, my friend, for all we had,
With a paw, my love declared....
