Until We Meet Again

You had so many affectionate names for me Tigger,Tiggy and Grrr'ss
I knew you were afraid to let me go
holding on to my every purr.
As I took my last breath I heard your prayers to thee
"Oh God what have I done? Please forgive me."
Our bond so strong you didn't want to let me go
But my Creator he was calling me home.
Please open your arms and heart to another
because you really were a wonderful mother.
When it is your time to come find me
I'll be waiting under a rainbow tree.
I'll shower you with kisses
and purr in your arms again
Than you and I my Human Mother
will never part Amen.

I was 12 and considered old
There was nobody wanting to take me home.
Than one day you walked in and starred
And I, I wasn't even aware.
They took me to you so we could meet
I was so leery of this great treat.
Someone was really looking at me!!
Considering taking me home
and setting me free.
I was on my very best behavior
This person would be my life long saviour.
We had less than three short years together
But they were my VERY best ever.
So when you think of me don't cry
you gave me love, a home, my pride.
I was 12 and considered old
But you, you still wanted
to take me home.

Tigger was adopted from the Humane Society when he was 12 years old.

Nobody wanted him because he was "Old", but I was lucky to have been blessed with him in my life for three short years when I brought him home from the shelter.

"Old" fur kids need love too and can give love in return.

Please consider adopting an older animal and don't forget June is adopt a shelter pet month.
